Dear Friends,
The American Society for Yad Vashem stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel. We stand with the victims of the atrocities perpetrated by Hamas, with their families, with the citizen-heroes, soldiers and first responders who helped repel the invaders and tend to the wounded, and with the diverse tapestry of people that make up our beloved Jewish state.
This past Shabbat was one of the deadliest days in the long history of attacks on our people, and the worst since the Holocaust. It is a moment for grieving, but not for despair. It is a moment at which we are reminded once again of the need for strength, resilience and unity of purpose.
We pray for the safety of our families, friends, colleagues, soldiers and the entire nation of Israel.
For us at the American Society for Yad Vashem, Israel’s pain is our pain. Israel’s mission is our mission.
Am Yisrael Chai.
